Q: When renovating a bathroom, do you need a master tub or will a large shower suffice?

A: When remodeling a bathroom, you choose what suites your needs. When selling a home, a bathtub is listed as a full bath. A shower in the bathroom is listed as a 3/4 bath.

A: I think this is personal preference. If it is the only bathroom in the house, it would be a safer bet to have a tub. If it is the master bath (i.e.; 2nd bathroom), shower only would be okay. In fact, personally, I would prefer it, but that?s just me. Here?s the catch though? the shower needs to be large enough. Avoid the 3? square shower that fits one person and only one persom. Make that shower ony bath be spa-like, go for a high quality area, give it ?wow? factor. Good luck, El

A: My suggestion is as long as there is a tub in the house replacing master with large shower would most likely be fine. Buyers have personal preferences and one can never tell what someone else desires. But with my experience. Most people are fine with a nice walk in shower. Best wishes. CFHOMESDFW
